Emiko Davies has currently escaped the Italian heat for some winter respite in Australia. I’m very pleased to say she will be visiting Flour and Stone for an exclusive peek at her new cookbook The Japanese Pantry: From Sake to Soy: Essential Ingredients for Japanese Home Cooking.
We will be hosting two Q and A sessions with Emiko in our Pantry on August 23rd where we will be cooking from The Japanese Pantry and then afterwards Emiko will be signing books. Our counter will also be abundant with cakes from Emiko’s new book.
Emiko has chosen 7 ingredients that make up 7 chapters that she considers essential in her Japanese pantry: soy sauce, miso, rice vinegar, seaweed, sake, sesame and tea.
